How do I transfer my save file to the next-gen update?

In order to transfer your save file, you will need to use the cross progression process introduced in the update to carry over your saves.
Steps:
- Make sure your PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is updated to patch 4.00 - this will be visible from the game’s main menu under the title.
- Open the “Load Game” menu and press L2 on the controller.
- Connect the game to your CD PROJEKT RED account by following the instructions on the screen.
- Once connected, cross progression will be enabled by default.
- Create a new save you want to upload. Once created, a cloud icon will appear on the save name.
- Launch your PlayStation 5 Next-Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and select “My Rewards”.
- Connect the game to the same CD PROJEKT RED account using the instructions from step #3.
- Your uploaded saves will be available from the “Load Game” menu.
For territories that still don’t have patch 4.00 for the PlayStation 4 version available, players will need to wait for the release or start a new game in the meantime.
