How to create a DxDiag report

DxDiag can help with:

  • Obtaining information about your computer’s software and hardware, e.g., which graphics card you have, whether the operating system is 64-bit, etc.
  • Generating a report that helps Technical Support identify the source of an issue and provide assistance more quickly.

How to create a diagnostic report (DxDiag):

  1. On the keyboard, press Windows key + R.
  2. In the newly opened Run window type dxdiag (without quotes) and click the OK button.
  3. Click on Save All Information... and save the file to your hard drive.
  4. Click the Exit button to quit the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
