Created 1 week ago  Updated 18 hours ago

Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are now included in the Base Game, so players who don’t already own the expansions will receive them at no extra cost.

I own the Base Game. What do I have to do to get Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine?

Simply update the game to the latest version to install Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

On previous-generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions are available to download for free.

What’s changing across digital storefronts and platforms?

Standalone expansions are delisted. Base Game is replaced by the Complete Edition, with the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine content merged into it.

On previous-generation consoles, everything remains unchanged except that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are now available for free.

Can I still buy the Base Game without Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine?

No. From now, only the Complete Edition will be available.

What if I already own Hearts of Stone and/or Blood and Wine?

You will keep them in your library, but their content is now patched into your Base Game.

Will my save files still work?

Yes. Your save files remain compatible and Cross Progression will remain functional the same as before.

Do I keep my achievements/trophies?

Yes, your achievements and trophies remain unaffected, including the ones from Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

Can I still start a standalone new game of Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine?

Yes, it’s still possible to start Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine separately via the main menu.

Are mods affected by this change?

The game itself remains unchanged, so we don’t expect this change to affect mods. However, if you experience any issues with a particular mod, we recommend reaching out to its creator for support.

Which platforms will the Remastered upgrade be available on?

The Remastered upgrade will be available on all current-generation platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2).

What if I own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo Switch? Will I be able to upgrade to the Remastered version on Nintendo Switch 2?

Yes. If you own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to claim The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered for free on Nintendo Switch 2 once it’s released.
