Reporting issues with the game after installing mods
Please note that while mods are officially supported, we're unable to provide game support if the issue you're encountering stems from mod usage, and we cannot directly manage or resolve issues with player-created mods. Using mods may lead to unexpected, incorrect behavior of the game and their consequences may be kept in save files. Common issues arising from mod usage include for example:
- Crashes or inability to launch the game
- Issues with quest progression
- Missing or incorrect elements in the UI
Keep in mind that especially after a game update, you might sometimes encounter issues like the ones mentioned above. To prevent these issues from happening, it’s crucial to keep your mods up to date - when a mod update is available, it should be installed automatically on game launch.
We advise against installing mods that alter quest structure mid-playthrough.
If you encounter an issue within the game while using mods:
- Open the in-game Mod Menu and disable or unsubscribe your installed mods, then check if the issue persists.
- If the issue no longer persists, and therefore is linked to mod usage, you can let the mod creator know by leaving a comment on the mod's page, providing details about the issue you're experiencing.
- Even if the issue persists with the mod disabled, note that the consequences of mod usage may be kept in save files and you might need to load an earlier save prior to mod usage.
- If you suspect the issue is related to the game itself, please report it to us by using one of the forms available on the Support website.

[PC] If you’re experiencing an issue while using third-party mods (installed outside of the game without using the in-game Mods meanu), please perform a clean install of the game as described here.
