Game remains stuck on the wolf medallion after selecting "Launch game" in the game launcher

If the game doesn't start after selecting "Launch game" in the game launcher and remains stuck on the wolf medallion, please try these steps:

  1. When "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" launcher appears, click Alt+Ctrl+Del and choose "Task Manager".
  2. From the list of processes, right-click on "The Witcher 2 Launcher Application" and choose "Go to details".
  3. Right click on "Launcher.exe" and choose "Set affinity".
  4. Select CPU 0, 1, 2 and 3 (others should be unchecked).
  5. Click OK, close Task Manager and go back to "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" launcher.
  6. Choose "Launch game".
  7. After you wait a little bit, the game should start.
