- Make sure that your PC meets the The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings System Requirements.
- Reinstall your GPU drivers. To do so, follow these steps:
- Download newest drivers for your GPU, but don't install them yet.
- Download Display Driver Uninstaller and run it to remove previous versions of drivers.
- Clean install drivers that you've downloaded in step 1.
- Uninstall all of the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables that you have installed. Once it's done, install the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable packages from this link.
- Start from the oldest ones (skip the "arm" files).
- Launch all the executables as Administrator.
- If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, make sure you install only the 32-bit versions of the packages. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the packages will work on 64-bit versions of Windows.
- Disable all unneccessary apps before launching the game (especially apps with overlay), such as GeForce Experience, Riva Tuner, MSI Afterburner, MSI Gaming app, Fraps, etc.
- Try launching the game in a clean boot mode.
